Given what @venutius says, and as I have little time available at present, I’m going to wait to see if future updates resolve the issue. If not, I’ll follow @mazharulrobeen’s suggestions when I have the time later in the year.

Has anyone produced a plugin that replaces or updates the one mentioned above?
A member of my writing group has asked for all her data and I was shocked and disappointed to discover the WP Export/Erase Personal Data doesn’t cover BuddyPress forum posts. There are two years of posts I’m going to have to search manually if I can’t find a plugin to do the job for me.

Hmm. Your website is not a great advertisement for your services. I’ve twice tried to tried to set up an account, and tried twice to download the free plugin “BP Modify Member Directory and Profile Header”. I’ve also tried to use the chat facility.
