It is a concept project I am trying to create.

Looks like I will have to code something in ‘under the hood.’ or rather pay someone.

Hi. Is this possible?

I wish to make ‘participants’ which are viewable by default by everyone.
The ‘participants’ are not people, but things. (eg cars, engines, etc)

Is it possible for 1 logon (ie admin) to have multiple user profiles?

Hope that is understandable.

Woo Hoo!

Thank you for the advice @mercime. I now have a dev buddypress to play with.

XAMPP worked fine once I removed IIS and other things which were causing conflicts.

Starting new thread for the other questions….

@mercime thanks for the help. Have looked at the link you have given but do not understand enough to know where that file is in my system. A noob to this.
Am learning as I go along.

By ‘without the index file appended’ do you mean like

Sorry but back again.
Can register if buddypress not activated. as soon as it is activated it throws me to a 404 page.

Any pointers?

Hi. New to the wordpress world and programming in general.

Set up wordpress using microsoft webmatrix as I need to learn on local system (no internet at home)
When I attempt to edit profile page 404 throws up.
Latest wordpress and buddypress
