Simple way to fight the scum is to allow users to delete comments or @’s on their profiles.

@hnla if you’r new to buddypress.org and you try to find some examples of how people are using buddypress then you normally search for showcase or buddypress showcase ,you don’t search for gallery!it’s a bit confusing isn’t it!?

@hnla The group says “gallery” so I was looking for an showcase group , didn’t find one , that was the reason why I’ve created the group.

Gallery seem to me a bit confusing for an showcase group.
also if you come from another platform no meter what platform common naming for that kind of things on web is “showcase”.

Yes. That’s absolutely fine. We derive the child theme for a lot of our paid projects from the BuddyPress default.

The licence is a little complicated, but essentially:

1. if you build a theme for a specific client project you can use the code without restriction

2. if you build a child theme for general release to the community, you also…[Read more]

maybe a good suggestion for next release ,allow users to delete unwanted comments or @mentions on their profiles.
