M I allowed to use bp-default code when building child themes?
I need to setup an project in 2 days so it would be great if I’m allowed to use the code from bp-default.

It’s all GPL license … so yes, you can use it

    Yes. That’s absolutely fine. We derive the child theme for a lot of our paid projects from the BuddyPress default.
    
    The licence is a little complicated, but essentially:
    
    1. if you build a theme for a specific client project you can use the code without restriction
    
    2. if you build a child theme for general release to the community, you also…[Read more]

no problem,I used gravatar 🙂

with this kind of things I set my wp-content to 777 ,upload one photo so that directory is created and then set wp-content back to 755

@DJPaul This is the error I get when try uploading avatar here on buddypress.

Upload Failed! Error was: Unable to create directory /home/buddypress/public_html/wpmu/wp-content/blogs.dir/1/files/avatars/1292588. Is its parent directory writable by the server

Hi, thank you. We are aware but there’s nothing I can do to hurry a fix at the moment.

Upload directory at buddypress.org is not writable that’s why I’m not able to change the avatar.
Also job title is not being displayed. 🙂
