| WordPress Origin Story | I discovered WordPress when the time came for me to put together a professional blog/portfolio in 2012. It seemed to be the most user friendly on the back end, more like websites, which I was already used to. I started with Joomla but didn’t like it, especially being new to such technology. The ability to blog in addition to the portfolio was irresistible. Plus, the ability to inexpen$ively expand as necessary with Plugins was very appealing. That in and of itself was Great! But! Then the time came for me to put together a Niche Community in 2013 and I discovered WP’s companion..BuddyPress! ..Hot! Dog! …And THEN! ..to Top it Off! – bbPress! Holy Moly!!! Now I have a wonderful Niche Community Site all made possible by the incredible WordPress Community! Oh how I LOVE you people! |
