About Me | Long time web developer (too long, really). Was in the room at the conference where Sun Microsystems formally announced itself to the world. Yeah, that long ago. Started up a company in 1987 that envisioned a unique product serving a specific vertical industry. While that effort did not succeed, my team and I would later learn that the world would come to call such a product a “web browser.” We were a bit ahead of our time — the VCs had no idea of how to get their arms around it. Fast-forward to the present and I find myself simply enjoying the ability to create highly functional community-centric platforms targeting specific markets. |

WordPress Origin Story | Tinkered with WordPress to effect a minor change, way back in early 2011. It’s full effect escaped me at that time. Recently, I went searching for the “right” kind of lightweight CMS that also provided serious community capabilities, and voila… I rediscovered WordPress, the “Lego System” for web developers who just want to get things done by Friday. |
