@venutius Thanks for the write up, hopefully in time the idea may gain traction, as for a handler for loading those snippets I did have one in use locally but code was rough and ready, so may consider re-doing and making available on github, originally the idea was to add a loader for the snippets to the core buddypress-functions.php file where…[Read more]

DanBP, those two links are specifically about assigning NEW users on registration – i’m not so sure that the poster was strictly referring to NEW users. so to ridicule @venutius for ‘hijacking’ is pretty unprofessional, in my eyes.
so you didn’t in any way answer the post query.
@venutius, don’t apologize.

You said group admins were a special case and not covered in the @mods command, would it be possible to have a shout to both admins and mods?
I’ve just released version 1.0.1 which lets you use both @moderators and @administrators within a group to mention group moderators and administrators respectively.

If Group1 already exists, you can’t create a new group with the name Group1 or group1.
Hope that helps!

@venutius The issue you were having with blank notifications has now been fixed. You’ll also need to update bbPress once the new version of that plugin is released.

Thanks @venutius, if you could open a new issue on GitHub for each separate issue you find that will be great 🙂

Like @venutius said, this is likely to be theme related. Considering the theme is premium, nobody here can see the code in order to try and help. You should open a support ticket on the plugin’s support website.

@venutius you’ll need to ensure the activity, groups and notification components are all activated. Of course, BuddyPress also needs to be installed.
Within a group, if you create an activity update or comment with the text
@group
, everyone in that group will get a web notification. The same goes for@mod
, but in that case only moderators within…[Read more] -

I’ve just finished building Crowdmentions. Currently the
@group
and@mod
commands are supported when used within a group context. I’ll be adding support for more commands going forward, such as@friends
.I’d be grateful for your feedback if you have time to test it out.
Thanks 🙂

I agree a context-sensitive @group is a good idea. I don’t think anything wider reach than “All friends” or “all group members” is a great idea because of how noisy it would be on any decently-sized BP site
Completely agree @djpaul. I’ll make it so.
Thanks @venutius! I’ll let you know once it’s ready by posting back here.
