Not sure if you want us to report any problems here or elsewhere, firetag.
If I attempt to delete a master group, I get this:
Fatal error: Call to undefined method BP_Category_Group::delete() in /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/mysite/wp-content/plugins/bp-group-categoriestypes/includes/bp-grouptypes-admin-edit-groups.php on line 31
And the group doesn’t get deleted. I had 2 groups and tried to delete just one.@firetag I couldn’t be happier! Thank you for the “freemium” plugin. Installed on my localhost and testing right now. So far, no issues. I need to create all the categories I need to be able to report issues, if any.
I’ve been following this thread closely because this is what I need to go live. My site would involve a lot of sub-groups for each continent/country and then sub-groups for the countries. I wish I could help you folks but I’m not a programmer. I’ve seen requests all over the net for what seems to be a premium plugin now. Good luck!
Thank you guys! You rock!!!!
Never mind, Boone. I did the .htaccess thingy again and now it worked. I’ll never understand but I don’t have time to research
Thank you very much!!!. One question remains though: How should I set up MAMP to work on PHP: using version 5.2.13 or 5.3.2?Yes, I worked on the permalinks and did the changes to .htaccess. I worked on another blog on my server and had no problem, so I’m now blaming MAMP. I just don’t know if there would be any difference.
Regarding the 6 folders that come under bp-template-pack/templates – I copied them to wp-content/themes/bp-default directory but I didn’t delete the original folders. Could that be the problem? Should I MOVE instead of copying?
Yes, I am
Still trying to figure that out and I just thought I should ask you this: MAMP gives me two options to use PHP version 5.2.13 or 5.3.2. I tried both versions and nothing helped but I just wondered what would be the best version for when I run my blog after a fix above problem
I was having a hard time trying to find the .htaccess file on my iMac, until I figured out that it is a hidden file (I’m working on MAMP Pro). If that is your case (Mac) , you have to unhide it.
Great tip! It pointed to a file under the root that came with MAMP Pro so I deleted it but I’m still unable to retrieve the pages for each tab.
I opened a new topic for thatYou guys rock! It worked! But it left a little bit of a code that I don’t know how to get rid of. Every tab shows the “?” for a logo which WP can’t find (1 Files: index.php and MAMP-PRO-Logo.gif) Where would that code be?
Interesting. I found that same file under an old WP installation in my web server but when I downloaded WP to my Mac’s HD this file did not come with it or maybe it is hidden. Thank you for the tip. I’m still trying to find that file on my Mac.
I don’t even know where this .htaccess file is located
I have a little trouble every time I try to change permalinks – not very familiar with that – so what I did was simply change from default to the next option day and name. But now I see that it was unable to write to .htaccess file and it gives me some instructions to do it by myself. So I guess I have to try it, right?
