1.2 CSS background-transparency issue

I posted it in http://www.testbp.org (the issue is therefore present in the trunk), but I guess it’s a nice topic for the forums here:
This is an important CSS-Question for me: The transparent background in the admin-bar and the navigation works mostly just fine in IE, BUT in the members-, groups and blogs-directory it makes a gradient from the upper left corner. I experience that in my own custom-theme as well…
In IE 8.0 this strange behavior occurs only if I have a Start-Page with the normal blog-stream… It seems, when the page is loaded, that for one moment it is ok, but then it â€creates†the gradient… any ideas?! Anybody experiencing the same? In Firefox no problem at all, but sadly most of the users are still on the IE-Trip…
Can some CSS-Guru tell me where the problem lies? Would greatly appreciate that. AND – maybe that would be something for the trac… (?)
