1000s of Forums automatically being created

In Groups/Discussion Form/ I enabled “Yes. I want this group to have a forum.”

5000 forums with the Group Name were automatically generated!

Is this because I didnt create the Forum first and then associate a specific forum with the Group?

That sounds very strange. Are you using any plugins? What theme are you using?
