[Resolved] A Please to provide step by step translation

Can you please provide me with the best way to translate buddypress, because I have followed many ways provided an no one actually worked for me!

I have buddypress and wordpress updated (newest version) and I want to translate my buddypress inot Arabic Language…I need my wordpress to remain in english (Dashboard), but show all buddypress on my site in Arabic

WPML seems to be the most sophisticated translation engine, however it adds a lot of complexity to the site and using it with Buddypress tends to mean you will have a slow site.

I think I can upload any language files of BP to my site, but I just need the best way to do it.

@danbp Thanks for your reply, can’t I just translate my BP .po and .mo files into Arabic and provide them on my website in Arabic language while maintaining my Dashboard in English ?

if yes, what is the best way to translate the .mo and .po files ?
