A True Activity Like

Is there a true Activity like plugin for Buddypress? Say, someone says something like – Lost 3 pounds this week. Well, it may not deserve to be a favorite of mine but I sure like that they lost 3 pounds and so I would like to tell them I like it on occasion instead of having to comment on each one. This way you would know how many friends actually read your statement and liked it. Thanks for steering me to a plugin or if not, maybe someone would consider writing one. Thanks and have a great day!

I wish we have both the wall and the likes configured with buddypress out of the box. This would be a great and highly appreciated improvement.

    Thanks!

The styles for the number of likes is different than the styles for the number of comments. This is why I wish we have this out of the box. I posted this comment to the plugin developer anyway.

    Thanks!

    Hi @jessicana

Some communities might not necessarily want ‘like’ functionality by default. The ability to favorite is already available though?

The best bet is to style the ‘like’ button yourself to match your theme’s styles.

    By the way:

What does ‘favorite’ mean here: To ‘favorite’ the activity? Or to ‘favorite’ the subject (author) of that activity?

What is within BuddyPress the difference between ‘friends’ and ‘favorites’?

I think the idea is to favourite the actual activity item. So if a member creates multiple activity items, you may choose to favourite none, some or all of those activity items.
