Activation Issue

    My users are reporting that when they click the activation link that the page is coming up not found. When I go to manually activate their account it says that there is a # pending, but there is nothing in the list.

    The first issue, the link, is actually happening on two of my websites.

    Both sites are running:
    WordPress: Most recent (sorry don’t know the version)
    BuddyPress: 2.2.1
    BuddyBoss: 4.1.5

    Which theme are you using? Plugins activated?

    Theme is BuddyBoss 4.1.5.

    Plugins, I have stripped down to the bare minimum, to keep my site somewhat functional (all are updated to latest version):
    Akismet
    bbPress
    BuddyBoss Media
    BuddyBoss Wall
    BuddyPress
    BubbyPress Captcha
    BuddyPress Security Check
    iframe
    Jetpack
    Jetpack Only For Admins
    Remove Dashboard Access

    I even deactivated most of these to strip it down even more and created a new account. Still having the issue.

    Do you still have the issue if you use Twenty Fifteen with no plugins activated (aside from BuddyPress)?

    Went down to zero plugins, except BuddyPress. Changed to the BuddyBoss parent theme and Twenty Fifteen.

    I am having this issue on two separate sites. I have completely removed BuddyPress and installed a fresh copy from the BP website to both sites and this issue is still happening. Is there anyone that is having this same issue that can help me out? One of my sites has about 50-100 registrations per a day and I can not keep manually activating them.

    What is the sample email activation link that your users are receiving?

    Your issue might be caused by the Activation page being nested under the Members directory page. Can you try moving your activation page to a parent and try again?
