Activity Menu Link goes to personal member page not global activity feed

Hi, I’m running WordPress 6.2.1 running Astra theme, Buddypress 11.2.0.

In Appearance > Menu I selected “Buddypress Member” and under the “logged in” tab I added “Activity” to my menu. When I click on it on the site while logged in, it takes me to my personal member page, not the global activity page. I would like it to go to the global activity page – or is there some other way members are supposed to see the global activity?

    Thank you.

Also, on my registration form, there is a check box to sign up for our newsletter, but the text is in a very thin column so it isn’t legible. There are three letters per line. Do you know how/where I would fix this?

    Hi Naomi,

For the menu item, one option is to create a custom menu option and just insert the URL for the activity page.

For your newsletter sign up, don’t think I can help you as it’s the way it’s been implemented, it’s inserted a third column, making this wider is going to make one of the other columns narrower, which is not desirable. Maybe ask the plugin developer to change it?

I figured out the activity menu issue, but is there really no way to move this check box to the bottom of the first column? It looks that way on mobile.

I’m not exactly sure, I’d ask the supplier of the plugin that installed it to be honest. Usually, if it’s adding a new column, it’s something they’d have to change in the plugin.
