Activtywall outputs shortcodes, hide them?

First of all, thanks for all t he help on previous problems, much appreciated.
So. I run buddy press on a sub site in a multisite. When i make a blogpost on the main site, it shows up in my sub sites activity wall. Problem is that i use portfolio slideshow on my main site, that is controlled by a short code. On the activity wall, it won’t show the gallery, which is fine, but it outputs the short code which doesn’t look that good.
Would it be possible to either remove the short code, or instead maybe pull the first image of the post or similar instead?
