Add hidden filters to members directory

I want to add hidden filters to a members directory. I am reading this documentation https://dontdream.it/bp-profile-search/custom-directories/, Where do they get the field_35 and field_56([bps_directory field_35=”Male” field_56=”Married”])? Any help would be appriacted.
