Hey all-

I’ve literally been searching for days and days so if anyone can help I would so appreciate it.

I’m trying to automatically show the post location near the author’s information. I would like this to be clickable so we can see all of the posts at that location. Specifically I just want the author’s country to appear. A non-Wordpress example is at http://fmylife.com.

I’ve added an xprofile field with a drop-down menu for all of the countries as a mandatory registration field and thanks to a post reply from @r-a-y have figured out a way to show the author’s country in each of their posts.

Is there a way to turn the profile field into a tag for the post?

Or, even better, is there a way to determine the author’s IP address and turn that into a tag? I know there are a lot of plugins that do this for visitors and put their locations on maps, etc. but I don’t know if they can be altered to work for the author’s.

Anybody have any thoughts or ideas on this? I would be very grateful.
