adding a paypal button

A while ago I attempted to add a standard paypal button to a post on my client’s buddypress Salutation blog. What happened next was terrifying – every page had that full post, with no side bar – at the top, and when you scrolled down you could see the page or post you were supposed to be on.

I didn’t get to the bottom of why it was doing this – it was so ugly I had to fix it asap – so I just had the site restored back to the pre-paypal form addition, because even when I removed the form from the post, the problem remained.

I don’t want a whole cart system or event management right now, just to add a few “add to cart” buttons. Has anyone else encountered this? Is there a mistake in the PayPal generated code that’s causing the glitch?

I’ve tried a Nice Paypal Button Lite, which does exactly what I want, but it doesn’t show my button as advertised. Maybe only the premium works?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
