adding blog author to main blog buddypress bar

i have noticed that whenever i am on my main blog, it doesnt show the little blog author thing, is there a way i can enable this??

also i have just noticed that when i click blog it does not work and i get a 404 message eg http://hyrxx.com/blog

any ideas??
