@markleeuw which BP version you are using. I had tried to replicate with the current version, but it seems working correctly.
Hi Vapvarun,
Thank you for your fast response.
Im running:
Version 2.9.4 | By The BuddyPress Community | View details
The theme owner had this to say about the problem:
“Hi.
This is default BuddyPress page, the theme has nothing to do with it, only changed appearance. Once you changed the password, user should be redirected on the same page.”
With changing password i mean in here. When you are logged in and decide to change the password and you fill in everything and click on save then you get directed on 404 not found page. ( But the password is successfully changed, but the user doesn’t know that because he lands on 404 page)
@markleeuw user is getting logout after password change that’s why you are getting 404 error page. Try to debug with the default WordPress theme and only BuddyPress plugin, might be some plugin is creating conflict.
Hi Vapvarun,
How do u debug with the default WordPress? and is there a other way to fix this
Kind regards,
mark
Hi Vapvarun,
The problem was caused by, Simple Membership Plugin.
Here is a picture below that when i change the password while plugin is deactivated it doesn’t gets me to the 404 page.
Now the big question, how is I fix this. I like both plugins and for the rest everything works only this is a issue could you help me with this?.
Kind Regards,
mark.
@markleeuw You can check with Simple Membership Plugin support once, I think they will have to fix from their end.
