After upgrade my language was gone

    Same here.

    As you said, I checked the languages folder and found that the MO files were missing, I guess deleted by the upgrade (!!). Once restored the translation has worked again.

    Did you do anything more then create folders /buddypress/bp-languages/ and put the two language files there?

    Got the same problem to, nothing helpes.

    Dutch language was gone when upgrading, put it back again but still english site.

    Even got some more problems but i wil post these some where else.

    only that, placed again the POT and PO/MO pair files

    Just to be even more clear and to confirm the issue once I repeated it, in my case I just placed again:

    buddypress-es_ES.po

    buddypress-es_ES.mo

    … err … sorry fot the spam, but I see that also the upgrade deletes a custom plug-in I placed inside the buddypress folder

    Still english at my site.

    Can you confirm, Azznonimous, that the only thing you did was;

    1. Create folder: “/wp-content/buddypress/bp-languages/”

    2. Copy “buddypress-es_ES.po” & “buddypress-es_ES.mo” into the new folder

    Nothing else? It just worked for you?

    Your path seems wrong. From v1.0 mine is:

    /wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-languages

    3 files inside:

    buddypress.pot

    buddypress-es_ES.mo

    buddypress-es_ES.po

    Checked my file path to, the mo file seemed to be gone again :O.

    Maybe i ftp’ed it wrong or something.

    spoke to soon, doesn’t work. can anyone find the eror here?

    files:

    buddypress-nl_NL.mo

    buddypress-nl_NL.po

    buddypress.pot

    or does the old language not work for this version?
