Ajax in messages component

How to add Ajax to buddypress messages component? So there is no need to refresh the page to view new messages. Will it require a lot of coding. Just to know. I’m not a developer. Thanks

Ajax doesn’t require much code, but PHP and JavaScript skills are needed. The best place to start is probably here.
