All links redirect to members/?s=

    Hi

    I have a buddypress instance up at http://www.subbie.co.za – I have found that any links users add end up redirecting to members/?s=LINKTITLE

    e.g. on the page http://subbie.co.za/members/mariaan/ you will see in the users text the links redirect.

    I have additionally added a link field to the profile and this does exactly the same thing. Has anyone come across this and/or know a solution?

    your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

    you’ve to apply a filter make_clickable i think, never tried that

    Currently the Extended Profile fields do not have an option to explain to the plugin or template engine what kind of filters to apply to them, so by default they all become searchable unless they are an unformatted URL.

    HTML is currently stripped from textarea fields. My guess is eventually each field will have more than just a “type” but also a logic behind it too, just not for the 1.0 release.

    This thread has a solution. It turns off all the auto linking in the profile fields. Right now it’s either on or off.
