Allow all users to edit all other users' profile

Hi,
I am working on a private ‘family’ project where every logged user is expected to ‘Edit’ information in other users’ profile.
BP allows only the admins to do this, and I don’t want to give everybody the WP admin capabilities …
I managed to display the “Edit” button in the profile nav menu : the link to /user/profile/edit is displayed too, but the page cannont be displayed. There are somewhere additional checks like “is_super_admin” that block rendering the edit page. I already spent some time on it but was not able to fix it.
Could you please help me to find them ?

New Year is certainly not a favourable period for developers …
Note : I tried without success to add to specific users an extra ‘bp_moderate’ capability in wp_usermeta : didn’t work.
Well, I was able to find a workaround, probably not very safe, but suits me for the time being …
In function bp_current_user_can () from /bp-core-caps.php, I have replaced (around line 190) :
$retval = current_user_can_for_blog (...);
by
$retval = current_user_can( ‘level_1’ ); which gives access to all “contributors” (who have by default ‘Level_1’ capability).
