Allow BudyPress comments and likes on custom post types and attachments

    I’m building custom gallery plugin. I created custom post type Albums and I’m adding images as standard WordPress attachments to it.

    I would need to add BudyPress comments and likes to this custom post type, and the image attachments.

    I’m on latest WordPress and BudyPress version. I know there’s the RTMedia plugin, but it is quite difficult to hack for my needs.

    How can this be done?
