I’m looking for a way to restrict group forums such that only group admins will be able to create new forum topics. All group members should be able to reply to these forum topics, but members shouldn’t be able to start their own topics. Is this possible?

I would recommend looking for a possible solution on the BBpress site as buddypress uses it now.

I don’t think this is possible by default.

You’ll probably have to either:
* Write a small plugin to disable the forum post form for regular group members; or:
* Modify the bbPress post form template and do your checks in there.
