Allowing Users To Select Roles on Signup

    Is there a way to allow users to select their roles when signing up on my BuddyPress site?

    For example, I want people to be able to pay for a membership that allows them to write posts for the blog but not be able to post them (contributor) and have an option for them to pay a little more to get an account where they don’t have to wait for us to proofread their posts (author).
