Announcing: BuddyPress Stats

In my first stunt ever as a “real” WordPress/BuddyPress plugin developer, I’ve hacked together a simple stats plugin.

    It generates the following graphs:

    • (all “multiselectbox”, “selectbox”, “checkbox” and “radio” fields have one bar graph each) (Xprofile)
    • Most friends (Friends)
    • Most group members (Groups)
    • Most actions (Activity)
    • Most popular component_action (Activity)

It is available in the WordPress plugin directory. Please try it out and come with suggestions for improvement!

    More specifically, I’m wondering:

    • Is it a good idea to add fancy graphs using the Google Maps API (each user would have to use their own API key, naturally)?
    • Should there be an option to display all or some of these graphs publicly, that is, not in the administration panel? If so, where and which?
    • What more graphs would you like? I’m thinking about adding Wire and Forum stats, good/bad?

I think that’s very nicely done! simple, effective, 300 lines…. publicly +1, forum +1, the api..maybe just some jquery flot

    Very nice, congratulations !

What about integrating bbPress stats ? For those who have bbP setups might come handy.

    Installed! Thanks!

How about stats from Events plug-in?

This is a simple question: once installed, where can I find the stats? I looked all throughout the “buddypress” menus and couldn’t find it.

I haven’t had time to update the plugin (nor my community), but running BuddyPress 1.0.3 and WordPress MU 2.8.1, it shows up below the profile field settings in the BuddyPress secion of the menu.

Perhaps something has changed which breaks the plugin, causing it to not show up at all. If so, perhaps an URL like this will help: http://yourwebsite.tld/wp-admin/admin.php?page=buddypress_stats_wrap

I’m running BuddyPress 1.1.1 and WPMU 2.8.5.2. However, the direct method works to view the graphs.

I’ll look into it as soon as I can. If I’m not mistaken, the activity stats graphs need to be re-written too.
