Are these features included in BuddyPress?

A “profile” page for each registered user that can be customized to include dynamically input user information. Some sample items on that page would include contact information, blog posts that they have written (as if it was their own blog), a donate button. Also the ability for them to login and see how much they have left to pay for a program, make a payment and have that reflected on that user?

Technically all of that is possible but it wouldn’t be included as default in a standard BP template. You could easily get a theme designer/ developer to build most of the functionality there though. It’s all straight forward except for perhaps the payment sections which would require some specialist work.

I’m sure others will chip in with who they have used for custom stuff on their sites.

I’m a developer as well, I just didn’t want to dig into the framework until I knew if it was possible or not. Where would I go to discuss customization’s to Buddy Press? Is there a better forum group?
