assign a blog thumbnail?

Is there currently a way for me to assign a thumbnail to my blog?
Meaning, when a person clicks on the ‘blogs’ button, they get the list like they should. I just want to put a ‘custom’ thumbnail there instead of the defaults.
What would be even cooler…
Is if a person could click a button, after their site is going, and have it generate a thumbnail of their homepage etc…
good idea?
