Attaching wordfiles, jpg and PDF possible? (Can Buddypress work like googlegroups?)

Hello,

a friend helped me to install Buddypress for the inner communications of our Buddhist temple community which got several task groups. Is there a way to attach wordfiles, jpg and PDF in order to share or mutually work them over?

Somebody mentioned to me that we should use googlegroups instead. Is this so?

@buddhist – you can upload files (PDF, jpg, etc.) without problem into posts within BuddyPress.

However, I think for what you are looking for (groups with their own documents), it would be best to look at the Group Documents plugin: https://buddypress.org/community/groups/buddypress-group-documents/
