Auto deleting notifications

Hi, everyone! I d faced with some issue connected with auto-deletion of notifications which date is older than 3 days. I suppose that algorithm should be: check before displayiing notifications (in the loop) if notif. date is older then get_notif_date() +259200 ms (3 days) then delete those older if exist.
