Hello,

I am running BP 1.1.1 on different blog id other than the root, in my case blog id . I changed this in the bp-core for the site to function properly. Also at first I had the friends feature disabled, now I have it enabled and still the autocomplete feature does not function at all when composing to friends.

Any thoughts?

hi,

have Wp 3.0.5 BP 1.2.7 and for me autocomplete works only for admin (code for all users by ray works too).
tried all the methods above and not only, except @xavieremerson , could you be more specific please, since I am unable to understand what exactly/how/where should be changed.
do not have any errors, simply autocomplete does not show any results for my users.

Is it fixed issue in BP 1.2.8?

Hi!

is anyone still experiencing this problem. my ajax works site-wide but the autocompletion for message and invites seem doesn’t load. I tried some of the recommandation but nothing worked.

Somone knows what could be causing this?

Hello!!

I would like to add something here!

I had the same problem….the autocomplete not working was driving me crazy….really….and after lots of days (and eternal nights) of suffer and horror I found the problem!!! !!

So in my case the cause was a plugin called “Buddypress Sitewide activity widget”…..why?, I don’t really know yet…..but this for all those who need an alternative answer for their autocomplete problems !

Ok, this thing wont let me edit my last post…anyway, I said that the thing screwing with my autocomplete was the “Buddypress Sitewide activity widget” plugin….but what I didn’t said is that actually is the Buddypress Sitewide activity widget V 1.1.3 was the problem!….I installed the lastest version (1.1.3.1) and the autocomplete works great!
