I have tested this and can not figure out why it is happeneing. You can go to the site commentalot.com and create a user, make a blog while you are there, then the credentials that are auto generated Do NOT work..
To make matters worse if you ask the login screen to email you new credentials you get this error:
“””” The e-mail could not be sent.
Possible reason: your host may have disabled the mail() function…””””
But I know that emails work from the site b/c I got the user regisitration validation and clicked it and modified the account. And I know I get Admin emails too.
Please help shed some light and I will report back the fixes asap.
the direct link is wp-signup AFTER the user has received notification about the blog creation. You simply follow the link. but it gives you a cookie error and an incorrect password error.
does this sound familiar to anyone? I even went into the blog via SITE admin, and I changed the password for the user that created the blog and that did not work.. Any help is appreciated.
