Avatar and Group Avatar folder permissions

    I’m having trouble with avatar uploads on my BuddyPress installation and I want to check that I have the folder permissions set correctly.

    At present the folder permissions are as follows:

    wp-content/uploads/avatars – rwxrwxrwx
    wp-content/uploads/avatars/subfolders – rwxr-xr-x
    wp-content/uploads/group-avatars – rwxr-xr-x
    wp-content/uploads/group-avatars/subfolders – rwxr-xr-x

    As there’s obviously an inconsistency there it occured to me something might not be right. Can anyone confirm how they should be configured? I couldn’t find anything in the documentation.
