avatars show up as broken links/images after cropping

    I am running BP 1.5.1 Install was ok and I am able to add content fine. But my own avatar, group avatar, and member avatars all appear as broken images or rather non-images after upload. You can’t even see the images in order to crop them. I have even reduced images to 128 pixels. Any ideas?
