[Resolved] Baffled. Installed Buddypress groups but wheres the chat area?

Hi folks,

Where on earth do members chat in BP groups? I cant find anywhere? Ive just set BP up on a remote server, created a few test groups and joined one as a test user but where do members chat to each other?

The ‘Home’ tab of each group shows an Activity stream where you can post updates and other gourp members can comment on them, iow. chat

Do you have the BP Activity component activated?

You can also create a forum for each group via the ‘Manage’ tab.

OMG just hired a BP “expert” on Elance and said Id installed BP but could see no way of chatting and assumned Id need a chat plugin. Was questioning it cos how can you have a group area but nowhere to chat. He agreed I needed a chat plugin and offered three solutions but I thought it was a bit suspect so came in here. Got it shanebp lol, you are great!!

Oh, he got confused when I said “chat” as in pop up chat area.
