bbPress 2.x and Group Forums

Hey,
New user of BuddyPress and have a question.
As far as I can tell, the Group Forums use a modified version of bbPress 1.x rather than 2.x. Got no problems with that, BUT, I have an existing bbPress 2.0.2 forum that I’d like to get into the BuddyPress group forums. Is that possible?
I looked at the structure inside the database and they are very different so you’d definitely need a conversion tool.
