bbPress mentions not in BB notifications

    Hi, using a mention (@) in a bbPress post does not notify the BuddyPress user (no BuddyPress notification). This is inconsistent with the usage of mentions in groups which are properly notified. Is this an issue on BP or bbPress? Thanks.

    ahhh found the solution through bbPress forums: search engine indexing must be enabled in the WordPress settings for this to work! This is quite problematic for private sites (well that not much as those use authentication to get into content). Any plan to address this?
