Beware of the 1.9 update!

Fortunately I got into the habit of backing up just prior to any plugin update, and this time it payed off big time.

I lost all my membership, group & activity pages when I upgraded (perhaps other things but I didn’t mess around with it). Prior to that, everything was functioning perfectly.

I have the following pluggins installed, and am using the Easel Theme by Philip M. Hofer (Frumph).

Downloaded my back up files and I’m back in business! I did like the sounds of what this update was suposed to do, but I suppose the old addage “don’t fix it if it ain’t broke” holds true in this case.

It was probably a theme issue. The easel theme hasn’t been updated in a few months and could have broken with current version of WordPress.

Instead of posting alarmist warnings it is better to post the issues incase others encounter the same thing.
