Blocking entire site to non-logged in users

    Hi,

I’ve just installed buddypress and am hoping to use it to create a workspace for my employees who work from home. Because its just meant for my employees I would like to have a log in appear when they come to the site, something like the wp-admin login, and not be able to see the rest of the site if they are not logged in.

I’ve come across some code in these forms to block certain sections of the site to non-logged in users, but would anybody know how to block the entire site, and also how I could manually create new users as the admin? Of course if my entire site was blocked people wouldn’t be able to self register, and this would also defeat the purpose of blocking the site.

    Thanks for any help!

    Nick

  • Go to Plugins, Add New and search for this: “Registered Users Only 2”

And to add new users, just click “Add New” under the Users tab in the backend.

Wow, perfect, thank you very much.

The landing page for users after they log in seems to be their wp-admin page. Would I have to edit the plugin the make the landing page the buddypress site itself?

    Thanks again

    Nick

Sorry, had wrongly defined my new users as “members” rather than subscribers. Problem solved. Thanks again!
