Blog Author(s) In Blog Directory Page

A very sensible request from my users, and I’ve been trawling through the bp-blogs-templatetags.php and this site (Search is much better now, so that’s a good thing) with no luck. Am I being dumb again?
Basically, all I’d like to do is add the name (and a link to the BP profile) of the user or users who are authors on a given blog in blogs-loop.php. Nothing I’ve tried seems to work. Seems like it ought to be an easy thing to do, but I’m failing miserably. Anyone have any ideas how to grab that info?
