BP 1.6.1: Wrong page title when using child pages (previously submitted patch doesn’t work anymore)

    Hi,

I’m using BP 1.6.1 with WP 3.4.2. I’m using child pages for the BP pages such as activities, group forums, etc..

Previously using BP 1.6 I managed to get the page titles to work using this patch: http://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/attachment/ticket/4242/4242-1.patch

But, after updating to BP 1.6.1, the issue does not appear to be fixed, and now applying the patch doesn’t fix it anymore too..

I really need to get the page title show up correctly. Is there any other temporary fix/patch for this?

I tested this out on fresh install of BP 1.6.1 and WP 3.4.2, and they seem to be working fine. But can anyone who upgraded from BP 1.6 + WP 3.4.1 provide feedback whether their site title is fine?

I tried to make the component pages not a child page, but it doesn’t work.. the page titles always show the component name and my site name (e.g. “Members | My site Name” ) on all the pages of that particular component.

I tried to use the BP default theme and deactivated other plugins too, but that doesn’t work either.. Can anyone help me? I really need to get the page title to work.

I really appreciate it if someone can help me or give some pointers on what might cause the problem. Thank you.

The trac ticket you link to is still open which means the issue hasn’t been fixed in a shipping version of BuddyPress yet. The issue is page title with child pages; upgrades shouldn’t make a difference to this particular problem.
