bp-default cannot be run in BP 2.1.1

I installed WordPress 4.0 and then Buddypress 2.1.1. All is well.

We are trying to install bp-default (to analyze the changes to a customer site, which was based on older version of bp-default)

Created bp-custom.php file under plugins folder and now the default theme is available under Themes> Appearances option.

However, the screenshot is pointing to the absolute path (c:\apache\htdocs\….\screenshot.png) and hence not shown in the browser

Even if the theme is activated, wherever the css and js are enqueued with get_template_directory_uri, they are all pointing to absolute path

    for e.g.<link rel=’stylesheet’ id=’bp-default-main-css’ href=’http://localhostC:Apache2.2htdocswp-contentpluginsbuddypress/bp-themes/bp-default/_inc/css/default.css?ver=2.1.1&#8242; type=’text/css’ media=’all’ />

Can you please help what else needs to be done to run bp-default?

NOTE: I also downloaded all the files from the github and the results are the same.
