BP Register Page doesn’t display but redirects to home

    I’ve seen this question posted several times but with no suggested fix. After I install and activate the Canvas-Buddypress child theme (with Canvas theme installed) installed and activated the Buddypress plugin, I set up the menu and Buddypress pages. When the Registration page menu tab is selected, a registration page doesn’t appear but it takes you to the default home page? The most recent versions are used. Any suggestions? Thanks.
    WP3.2.1 , BP1.5.1 , no WP network, no Welcome pack

    Here’s an answer to my own post in case any one else runs into this. You have to be logged out to view the registration fields and create a new account. Guess I thought admin access meant you would see all site functions while logged in…not so.
