bp_activity and bp_activity_meta tables bloated

    Hello,

    I’ve tried searching but couldn’t really find anything to answer my question. I have two tables that are incredibly large; bp_activity and bp_activity_meta tables bloated. The Activity is at 368.1 MiB, while the meta is at 299.4 MiB. Groups also seems pretty high at around 80MiB.

    I can’t even load up ‘Activity’ in the back-end of WordPress, which I assume the server is timing out.

    I’m wondering if it’s okay to purge the activity and activity-meta without any repercussions, and what I can do to hopefully limit this from becoming incredibly bloated in the future?
