On child blogs of a multisite install, there’s a checkbox in BuddyPress settings for allowing all users to create groups. Next to the checkbox is a notice which stipulates that administrators will always be able to create groups regardless of this settings. I found that administrators of my child blogs were unable to create groups on their respective blogs unless that checkbox was checked.

I traced this back to the bp_moderate capability which I have manually given all admins.

I also noticed that in the front end of the messaging component there is an option to compose “All member notices” which also requires the bp_moderate capability.

I was wondering, is there any documentation anywhere that lists all BuddyPress specific capabilities or is bp_moderate the only one?

And also, before I go ahead and give all editors the bp_moderate capability, is there a list anywhere that shows all of the functions/actions that require this capability? i.e. will giving editors the bp_moderate capability allow them to do anything that I wouldn’t them to?
