Buddy Press Child Theme

I am using BuddyPress as the members area of a web site so the site is broken into 2 sections, the public site and then the members area. I want to do some modification’s the member’s profile page which will require me to override the parent theme template. I want to add the template to my child theme but I don’t know what directory structure I need to put into the child theme to get BuddyPress to recognize it. Since the site also has a public theme which I have the child theme for already, do I put the new BuddyPress templates into the main directory or do I create a sub-directory like ‘buddypress/members/single/profile.php’

    Thanks!
