Thanks for testing, sharmavishal.
I’ve created a ticket here with a potential fix for the first two things:
https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/5537
I can’t duplicate the third issue.
The pleasure is all mine..indeed an honor to be interacting with you.
Just did a fresh install of Buddypress and stil the same issue remains…
http://domain.com/username/settings/profile/ is blank with the BP default theme…
strangely the above page works with buddyboss theme..anyway to debug this?
Also i dont see “delete account” in the settings menu in the wp-admin bar in BP 2.0
thanks once again
You left out that you were using the bp-default theme 😉
I’ll post a ticket about this, but I don’t believe we are adding new features to the bp-default theme as we are phasing out support for it. The “Settings > Profile” tab would constitute as a new feature.
You are advised to use any other theme.
Regarding the “Delete Account” link in the WP Adminbar, it shows up if you are not an administrator.
Thanks @r-a-y any other theme would you suggest/recommend to be used which would get all features and new features working? I test with BP default theme cause mostly plugins work (new and old) work like a charm. Kindly do let me know.
I usually test on the Twenty Twelve theme as it’s nice and clean. You can basically use any decent WordPress theme for the most part.
If BuddyPress doesn’t work with a certain theme, let us know.
r_a_y, could you please explain in few words, what changes were done to activity add?
I mean this patch https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/3856 and the words “..(short version – plugins that insert activity items will continue to work as before, but should be good citizens and update to the new technique)…”.
As I see, bp_activity_add wasn’t changed, so what update Boone is talking about? thanks!
A fix for this has been included in BuddyPress 2.0, which is due for release today.

Very amazing we find the 2.0 rc1 ‘s launching. there three question on new version:
1, Problems on post comment’s notification, when we comment on a post or a post’s comment, it create a comment_activity replying to the new_blog_post activity(item_id) and activity_comment(secondary_item_id), it essentially need to create a notification to the author whom it replying;
2, Problems on main activity-steam loop. in previous version, when a comment creates under a post, it create a new_blog_comment,and this activity can appears in main activity loop. but at present, when leaving a comment under a post, it only create a activity_comment under the new_blog_post activity, don’t appears in main activity-loop. it’s really not good!
3, Problems about the comment_activity formation, in previous version when leaving a comment, it create a new_blog_comment activity which include the original post title and url. at present version, the comment_activity don’t bring above information, I think it not a good method.
@djpaul thanks for this…also one thing i noticed in BP 2.0..i am using compression in the header of the theme ini_set(‘zlib.output_compression’, ‘On’); with Bp 1.9 it used to work perfectly well. Now it duplicates the page content..i read this we’ve totally overhauled the way that BuddyPress utilizes advanced caching systems like APC and Memcached how do i use compression with BP 2.0?
Thanks once again for the admin bar fix….
My apologies…said 2 soon….did a fresh install and the compression works absolutely fine…thanks for this BP update….works like a charm
