You could install a user role editor and grant those members the ability to upload media?
even if you are admin, theres no media upload, you just get a basic text box.
When you say add an article, what exactly do you mean?
It sounds like you are using a plugin or theme feature that allows users to create posts ( articles ).
You would probably need to add something like a tinyMice editor to the textarea for the article.
And enable images in that editor.
However – your question is well beyond the scope of these forums, and is best addressed to the creators of the ‘article’ code. If they cannot help you, you’ll need to hire a developer.
i am using the feature within buddypress to bring the ability to add articles/groups.
it basically shows up like this site comment box, just basic text.
@Venutius, article as in any news site you read it has text and images in the article.
im able to allow users to add an article, set feature image, assign to category but in the actual body text its like this site, basic text no feature to add media.
this can be done via the admin (backend) but i dont want users accessing my site via wordpress backend, id like them to do it via front end.
What you are describing does not sound like a BP feature, it sounds more like a post type.. Could you be using BP Docs or something like that?
hi sorry for the very long time to reply (been ill).
ive come back to work on my site and yes sorry ive noticed the plugin is social articles.
it does basically what i am after, but it doesnt let users include images with their article.
basically what im trying to acheive is like the admin would get when posting an article, but i want it front end for clients and not accessing the wp admin section.
my website is http://www.healthdigital.uk
You’d nee to contact the author of that plugin and ask them to add this as a feature.
